Karlye's Senior PROM!!

Our very gorgeous daughter as she heads off to her Senior Prom.... I can remember when she was sooo little.... where did the time go?? How quickly she has grown...

Ramblings of a mom in transition

As we have entered into a new era of parenting we also get to usher in with this new era, Senior Prom.
Lee has suggested I have having more trouble with the new way to parent than anyone else involved, and perhaps he is correct. no matter what happens, God is still in control, and He is good, ALL the time!!!

Lions, and Lizards, and Bears..Oh My....

I interrupt the musings of my surrender (which by the way... I was informed GOOD Army wives do not surrender, Sorry Husband) to write about the cutest thing,....

I went to pick Jacob up at school today, and he was soooo excited to share with me something in his back pack,.... A REAL LIVE BABY LIZARD....
How did he get the cute baby lizard into his pocket without his teachers, being wise to his actions, well he put him in his pocket...of course....ONLY in Louisiana can my 4 year old smuggle a baby lizard home!!! We did put the very cute (somewhat terrified) lizard back outside, so he could be with his family!!!

Surrender

It is clear that I am not doing a great job at being a blogger, so here is my white flag! and I think I have come to a conclusion, I believe I am going to give up on trying to blog about our vacation, please know it was an awesome vacation! Perhaps, I will get back to the vacation, however that is not the focus now, and the other thing I think I have discovered, I wanted to blog for the readers of my blog, not for me. That is where I have changed my focus, you are welcome to read along, but I truly want to have a year of reflection, focus and determination, and my relationship with our Lord and Savior and how I can draw closer to God, as He sooo wants me to!
